Rumah Besar was the perfect place to meet up with family. It has a really big main living area and the rooms are large too. It was great having kids beds within the same rooms. Pools were amazing. Staff were great very kind and accommodating to all our needs. Beautiful pool with a pool fence and 3 different levels making it suitable for our young children. The only thing I would suggest is to bring lots of mosquito repellent. Would highly recommend.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Highly staying here!!!!! The villa itself is absolutely beautiful the photos don't do it justice. Perfect for a big group. Rooms and bathrooms are lovely and big comfy beds. Marlene helped me with so many recommendations, Airport transfers and made our arrival into Bali so easy. The staff at the villa. Ari and the maids really went above and beyond for us I cannot thank them enough. Would come back and stay here in a heartbeat!! All though not in the main area it is only a 5 minute scooted ride and you are there!!!

We were 4 families (8 adults and 8 children) and this turned Out to be a lovely property for all of us to spend our holiday in. The staff is amazing. The girls (ilu and komang) were absolute stars and lovely to be around. They made sure our kids were happy and made breakfast and did all the laundry on a daily basis which made life super easy. I would highly recommend Rumah Besar for families and big groups. The location is also very convenient and a lot of nice restaurants and cafes close by. The manager Ari also great and responsive to all our needs.

Our second stay at Rumah Besar and it just gets better! We now feel like this is our home away from home. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Bali. Already counting the days until we are back. Thank you Bryan and Marlene for making this such a wonderful experience.

We thought we'd died and gone to Heaven!!!!!
We have just returned from spending 8 nights in Villa Rumah Besar, the big house. What an amazing villa!! The size of the place was awesome.
Each of the four double bedrooms were huge, as were each of their ensuite bathrooms. Also the fifth bedroom/bunkhouse was large as well. The living area was very spacious too, and the dining table was so long, seating 14 with ease. The pool area was not so large, but perfect for our needs. The pool was to die for. (Infact, my husband was swimming within minutes of walking through the door!!)
We arrived from the airport after collection by their driver who was very informative. Easily found him at the airport amongst all the chaos of Saturday morning mayhem.
I ordered lunch upon our arrival and, wow, did it smell great when we entered the villa. An amazing feast had been prepared by the staff, and there was so much food. This was a fantastic introduction to our stay. And so cheap. I had also pre-arranged for some drinks to be in the fridge which was good.
The staff were fantastic. From Nanik, the manager, to the girls who cooked for us, the driver and the security men who watched over the villa, they all were excellent. Always there if needed but never in your way. Having our washing done everyday was also a great treat.
I was a little concerned about the location in Kerobokan, but it was not an issue. Most taxi drivers knew of the villas, or if not, we were easily able to guide them to it. It was actually really nice being away from the main areas of Seminyak and Legian. To come home to the peaceful villa amongst the rice paddies was awesome, and so relaxing. The taxi fare to the beachfront Seminyak was only about AUD$2.50, so cheap.
Overall we had a very enjoyable relaxing time in Villa Rumah Besar. Thoroughly recommend it to everyone.Jen
Just wanted to send you a note about our recent stay at Villa Rumah Besar. We all had a truly wonderful time at the villa and the staff, led by Nanik were fabulous. Here are some specifics for you which I'm very happy for you to use in reviews:
The size and layout of the villa was perfect for a large group like ours. We had plenty of space to come together & socialise, as well as having the kid's room and very large bedrooms that we could retreat to if we wanted some downtime.
I was delighted with the location of the villa- off the road - so that once inside the walls of the villa it was completely quiet & serene. Having the little shop & the cafes just at the end of the lane way made it very convenient for picking up extra drinks & snacks as well as ordering lunch & coffee from the Bumbak Cafe. Putu, the owner, was very gracious & happily brought our orders down to the villa for us which was just fantastic.
The drivers were fantastic & very helpful & patient, and the security guards were just great at night when we needed a hand ordering food to be delivered, etc.
The girls who came to the villa to do the massages. pedicures etc were really, really good & the prices were fantastic. I think we had them booked almost every day of our stay.
The meals that the staff prepared for us were always delicious, nothing was too much trouble, and there always heaps of food for everyone.
The daily laundry & cleaning by the staff was great and very efficient. The team were always around to help out, but never intrusive and seemed to almost magically get all the work done without us even realising it.
We have all agreed that we'll be back both as a group and separately, so thank you so much for providing such a wonderful place and a great team to create perfect holidays.
